Why don't BLDCs require power factor correction capacitors? Is it because they inherently implement active power factor correction due to the way that the controller operates?
I am very curious about this as well. I am playing with JMAG Express designing some BLDCs and sometimes inductance is an issue with power factors down to 0.8. Is the controller capable of autodetect and correct for this?
