Hi All,
Newbie here so be gentle !
I am configuring a FlipSky FSESC 6.6 and 772KV 4 pole motor with the VESC Tool. I am running in FOC mode using a 13.8V power supply.
I am unable to achieve more than 17,000 ERPM at 100% Duty.
I'm told the same motor has run at higher speeds using a different manufacturers controller in BLDC mode.
My question is...
Is the relationship between Duty and ERPM purely a function of KV or is there another scaling factor in play ?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

OK to partially answer my own question.
The ERPM is proportional to the Supply Voltage and is also dragged down by the load. In my application the FlipSky will only run the motor at the same speed and load as different manufacturers controllers if the supply voltage is increased by 0.5 - 1.0V.
I don't know the root cause of this but I have exhausted all settings within the VESC Tool
