I have seen quite a few VESC vendors mention it, but searching for it seems to bring very little results. Could someone clarify what this feature actually does?
Some hardware has switchable phase filters. There were some Chinese manufacturers deigning the controllers without these filters but using the Firmware from devices with phase filters....
That made some controllers going to ESC heaven. The filtering is used in certain RPM ranges, especially at very slow RPM. This way it is possible to obtain more precise position information and tracking the rotor at very slow speed or even at stand still.
