VCC-GND short

Hi,

I am using VESC 100/250, we are testing our prototype motor. After detecting the Hall sensor position, we are not able to run the motor. While debugging, we identified that the VCC pin and GND pin are showing short.

Requesting your support to solve this issue.

Probably a short in the STM processor. On which pins do you measure.

Hi frank,

We have probed at the following points and observed short:

At sense connector: 1.) V+ pin with respect to GND

2.) H2 pin with respect to GND

Along with this VCC with respect to GND (SWD connector and COMM connector).

Do you have the hall sensor cables running alongside the motor cables? The high current in motor cables can create voltages on the hall sensor cable that can damage the stm32. Best to keep them apart.

Hi,

Yes it is running alongside the motor cables. Thank you for the response.
