3.3v short. is repair possible?

Hey, I have most likely shorted CAN GND with COMM VCC or maybe also COMM ADC1 (I was trying to figure out how i should wire my bosch PAS so if someone knows how to it would be really awesome because i got no clue on how to measure it and they are all black wires)

Is it possible that I can repair it myself if I order https://lcsc.com/product-detail/ST-Microelectronics_STMicroelectronics-S... and replace it? And then ofcourse flash the new firmware with a ST-Link V2 and then install the bootloader through the vesc tool? Please say yes so that I got a good excuse to order a Weller WXA 2 set.

When plugging in the battery (and having removed the casing) the stm32 heats up as well as the drv8301. Would the drv8301 heating up be normal or be fixed if i removed the stm32(or a chance of)?

What would I measure to know which parts are broken? And how do i know if my 3.3v net is broken?

Else is this still a posibility? https://trampaboards.com/vesc-repair--stm-replacement-p-29893.html That you can ask Trampa to repair it for you?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Hi....In the event that some unacceptable force board is introduced 5V and 3.3V will be shorted at the force board making a squinting LED and disappointment power up. Generally doesn't cause harm regardless of 3.3V rail being at 5V (insurance circuit gets the shortcoming rapidly, which is decent of Vestel I assume.)

You need to eliminate a jumper between 5V and 3.3V on the force board. It's a little surface mount zero ohm connect. I can't recall the part number yet it's right close to the connector.

Hi .... I had connected two vesc from the same battery as soon as switched on the power supply the vesc led didn't show up. And when checked there was continuity between 3.3v and gnd. any suggestion how to fix the issue??

All depends on your soldering skills. We have also been able to successfully replace MCUs. Normally this is the part that dies. The problem is sourcing them at the moment.
