switch/toggle between two different engine settings/characteristics

I would like to be able to choose between different engine settings, such as unlimited and limited
not while driving, it is not important, but to be able to easily toggle between 2 different motor characteristics (eg max Erpm and max motor current)
it is possible?
can I use, for example, the maximum temperature of the engine? (by tricking vesc that the engine is hot and then vesc changes engine characteristics)
