throttle & braking weak

hi. my vesc 4.XX seems to power  my carvon v3's with more acceleration, and brakes work like theyre supposed to. on my vesc 6, its a lot weaker.. same settings.. one with mini remote, one with gt2b mod....also, with vesc 6, i noticed the brakes cutting in & out... but mainly im worried bout braking (vesc 6) it slows me down but very gradually. i have motor max 80 motor min 80 batt max 30 and batt min 12. 12s5p 30Q cells. with vesc4.XX 12s3p with 30q cells

Battery Min 12A is not a lot. 12S5P can swallow a lot more. Try -30A. Did you adjust your throttle values (pulling ans pushing the trigger) when doing the wizard? Do you run current, no reverse with brakes? Did you try to adjust the throttle curves? the VESC SIX should perform a lot better than your V4 HW. Frank

thx Frank

i set it at -22 and it is money... ya i just got the 12s5p (30q cells) should i keep an eye on the heat?

i noticed at fully charged, the brakes cut in n out. just for a minute until its not @ 100%. Is this harmful to my components?

If the battery is full at 12S, you want to drain a bit before you can use the brakes. A over voltage cutoff at 53V can easily be activated when your voltage spikes exceed that value. the VESC will shut down for a second and will come back to live in that case. Your battery has 51V when fully charged and that's close to a safe limit for over voltage protection. I would not go to high with voltage cutoff, since spikes over 60V will kill components of your VESC. Frank
