hi guys
been trying to flash my vesc 4.12 with new firmware. my the vesc wont connect through usb so i am doing it through st-link. i can flash the old 2.18 firmware files from bldc tool and it runs a motor. I have setup tcp and when connected to vesc tool it says frimware to old. tryed updaing but get timed out message. if i flash a new firmware 3xx the st-link program says core lockup in the bottem right corner and only a blue led?
Try it with the latest VESC-Tool. If you have a second VESC or VESC based ESC to hands, you could use SWD PROG to upload new FW. In any case, the SWD cables should not be longer than 8cm.

Hallo,
I'm new here, but perhaps somebody can explain me, which firmware version is the right / last version for the VESC 4.12 ( FlipSky 4.20)?
I don’t want to open a new thread.
I found this link:
https://github.com/vedderb/vesc_tool/tree/master/res/firmwares/410_o_411_o_412
I just find, that the name VESC_0005ohm.bin is the firmware version for the 0.5mOhm shunts mod on the PCB.
I have a FlipSky 4.20:
My FlipSky 4.20 is updated to 3.103 ackermania version.
https://esk8.news/how-to-ackmaniac-esc-tool/
I have problems with my motor.
So I use the latest VESC Tool Platinum, and there the firmware is update to version 5.01.
Is this possible, or is the latest firmware version V3.38 for this revision of the ESC?
When I look in the shops for VESC / Flipsky i see only the firmware version 3.38 installed.
In the firmware Changelog i found no limits for this revision of the Vesc V4.12 / FlipSky 4.20.
Sometimes I have the problems by other things, that the hardware revision is changed, and the newer firmware versions are no longer supported for the older hardware revisions.
Thanks
