Hi guys and girls,
I hope there is room for a very noobish question. I am playing around with a Vesc and a Turnigy bldc, 22 poles, 24 stators, 320 Kv.
I currently have it hooked up to a 3 cell battery, the plan is to run it on 6 cells. So I went through the wizards, selected the second smallest motor, set the voltages, and changed the control type to Duty Cycle. I tried to correct the number of poles, not sure if it made any difference. Now I can give it approx 55% throttle before it goes beserk, making noises and drawing absurd current spikes. Any pointers ? This is just to build something together with the kids.
I ran with a different motor, Turnigy aerodrive sk3, it is a 350 Kv motor, not sure about the pole number.possibly 14, on 6 Cells. It runs really well. I have not subjected it to load yet. That is two changes in one setup. I will revert to the previous motor and use 6 cells just to see.
