BUG - RAMPING on VESC TOOL?

Hello Guys,

Using FOC motor control, and selecting ADC or PPM for the input, everytime we select the positive ramping time (0.10sec or even 10.00s) it  does not changing the ramping time.

But, if we select negative ramping time and set it for like 2sec, then the positive ramping time goes along, meaning positive ramping is 2 sec.

Resuming, positive ramping time is only affected by the setting on the negative ramping time.

This effect is not good, as if we need a 3 sec ramp up, it will take 3 sec to ramp down, and could lead to some accidents.

Is there any workaround for making this work as supposed?

Thanks.

Try 0.9 positive and 0.3 negative for testing. I'm not sure what happens when the ramping is set beyond 1 second. Usually 0.9 is already very soft.

Thanks Frank.

Looks like behavior is same. If negative have bigger value than positive, then it just follows the negative value. Graph is like "mirror" on the ramp up vs ramp down.

This might be some issue on the vesc tool itself, as it doesn't make much sense. Any workarounds to have ramp up higher than ramp down?
