Modification to higher voltage

Hi all,

I have only just come across the vesc project and i am very interested in using it for my project.

The issue i have is that the application i wish to use it for has a higher operating voltage ~100-120v but lower current requirement ~20amps peak. Obviously this is not consistent with the VESC spec so i would have to perform some modifications.   Due to my limited ability to solder ics with such small terminals i plan to by a unit off the shelf and rework it. 

Obviously i would have to change the mosfets to a higher voltage rating with the same foot print and i will change the power supply capacitor to work with the higher voltage and probably reduce their capacitance but not sure what too at the moment. Based on a review of the git hub schmatic from git hub (driver 4.11) i believe i will also need to tweak the power supply to the STM32F4 64LQFP chip by altering R3, R4 and possibly C2 to maintain the ~3.3v supply.

I believe this is all i would have to do but could have missed something.

Please can you tell me if you are aware of anything that i have overlooked and if there are any software/firmware issue with my proposal?

It's been often pointed out on these forums that the hard limit of 60V is because the DRV. In order to increase the voltage you'd need to worry about changing that first. It's been done but is quite a comprehensive redesign that can't easily be done by modifying an existing board.

You can't do such a simple mod. There is some 100V device on the horizon. You will need some patience though.

Not sure how i missed the DRV8302 sheet. This makes it obviously more complicated than i first imagined.
