VESC 4.12 - Current limited at 100A

Hi All,

I used to run my VESC 6 with a motor current of 120A to power my e-bike without any problems. Currently I'm experimenting with a oil cooled VESC 4.12 to use the same current. But for some reason I can't set the value for ''battery current max'' or ''motor current max'' higher than 100A when connected to the 4.12 in VESC Tool. It just sets itself back to 100A when I write the motor configuration.

Does anyone know if this is a safety feature? And if so, is there a workaround?

Yes, that is a safety feature. If you are willing to risk it, you can upload the no limits firmware which is shown if you click the show non-default firmwares box in VESC Tool. Keep in mind that the highest current that can be measured is around 160A, so setting even the abs max limit above that essentially disables it.
