Bus bar and heavy copper PCBs

Dear All,

I am just involved in a power design and I am affraid that I will need copper bus bars and heavy copper PCBs. I am searching on the web and not found any bus bar supplyier. I have found some PCB manufacturer who say to manufacturer such PCBs but,  Can someone recommend me a copper bus bars supplyer? the same for PCB manufacturer 1oz-2oz thickness layer?

Thanks in advance,

Joaquin.

Most laser cutting shops also cut copper. Up to 3-6 mm thick depending on their laser power. Waterjet might be even better because there's no bending from heat.

Galp, thank you for your answer. My question was motivated mainly for one your sentence in your project description " Orange bars are copper bus bars. They are actually standard size (3x10 mm) copper profiles cut to correct length so no laser processing is needed just a handsaw". This is the reason that I thought I could buy bus bars and cut them myself without going to a "cutting workshop".

Just another question of your project (what is the copper thickness of your final board design).

Thanks in advance,

J.

They are standard size copper profiles sold as intermediate product not necessarily as bus bars. It's up to you to call it that and solder it to a PCB.

It's 1oz. You can get heavier copper on ALLPCB for a fair price (I think 2oz external layers are +20\$ and 2oz internal are +10\$ for 10 PCBs).
