Hi,
Is it possible to increase motor temperature in mainstream VESC Tool to somewhat around 200C? I think 120C is to low for hardcore users.
Tried to recompile VESC tool from github with no success (missing bluetooth, serial port and some other libraries...). Maybe there is some tutorials how to setup QtCreator? Tried following recommendations from Documentation section.
Martin.
Because physics has different rules for hardcore users :p? Do you have a temp sensor implemented in the motor and connected / configured in the vesc?
The limit might partially be in the UI (but there is a workaround if that is the case ) but most likely there is also a limit in the firmware ( not a bug but a feature ).
Hello Danny,
I am not a newbie and know limits of my motor. :) Have used it for 3 years with temps reaching 180C (150-180 temperature limit diapason). Changed limits in firmware, UI is limiting the settings in this case, same case is with ABS_MAX_CURRENT, can't set it higher than 500A even in firmware it is set to 550A.
I will do workaround and define the limits in firmware until figure out how to setup QtCreator properly.
Martin.
You can edit the field limits directly in vesc tool already.
Thanks, I will try that.
