Now i want to test Vesc in a hybrid power system, the motor is attached to a small gasoline engine, and it is difficult to detached the motor, so i want to know can i do the motor parameters identification in this mode (with the shaft load).
Wating for your answer.
If the motor can spin up for the flux linkage detection it should be fine. Removing the spark plug to reduce the compression probably helps a lot.
Thanks for your answer.
Now i have tried removing the spark plug, and the torque is still too large, and the motor can't spin up.
So now i want to know if there are some practical estimation methods to the motor parameter detection through digital multimeter and LCR meter, and the parameter can't be easily detected is flux linkage, could you give me some hints?
thanks
Maybe it would be easiest to just buy another electric motor of the same model and measure that? It won't be exactly the same, but hopefully it's close.
Great progress.
Yesterday i succeed to start the engine, i used the bldc mode, and when the parameters detection i increased the current to 35A, ERPM to 450, and duty cycle to 0.12, and the parameters can be determined. After that i used the duty cycle control mode in 0.30 and the start performance is very good.
Thanks for your help, guys.
