Hey everyone,
I’d like to share a few experiences I’ve had with my Classic+.
I’m using the Classic+ with a QS165 (QS encoder) in my e-bike. The Motor Wizard always ends up in “Sensorless” mode. But I can manually adjust the encoder, and it’s recognized during encoder detection. Then the motor runs as smooth as butter. Great!
After saving the settings and turning the system on and off, the settings are still there, but the motor spins very slowly at 200A!!! Only “ABI with no Index” works well. In that mode, the motor runs very smoothly after every restart. The index signal is definitely present—I checked that with an oscilloscope.
Have you also seen this behavior?
Best regards,
Dirk

Have you tried updating firmware after hitting "download latest" in vesctool 7.00 PC version under Firmware?

Yes, I updated the firmware. But it was already up to date. I'll check the Z (pulse) cable again.
I want to use the IMU for wheelie control. Are there any instructions for that? Or even just for the settings on a one-wheeler? An AI isn't very helpful—it just gives me hallucinations.
