Motors in PID control stops responding for a few seconds

Hello.

Have set up a tracked vehicle using two hoverboard motors in PID control mode. The motors are running perfect and very easy and predictable to control at high and low speed. However, when going downhill close to or at top speed the motors stops responding while going full speed for a few seconds, before suddenly responding again. This happens consistently when going fast downhill.

Have uploaded a YouTube clip where this happens three times going downhill.

Any ideas?

Did you check if you have any fault codes? Was the battery fully charged so that you might have reached maximum Input Voltage by going downhill (charging battery) which would make the Controller stop for a short time?

Thank you for your reply. Will check fault codes, didn't know about that option. Battery was around 39v and should take a charging current. Will look into my settings this weekend.
