I am building a scooter from the hover board motor. I have noticed that when applying the full throttle the motor cuts off after cca 0.5sec. After releasing the throttle and pushing it again, it works well until I apply the full throttle again. This happens both with and without the load (wheel spins freely when scooter placed on a table).
Then, I realized that the cut off actually happens when the "Max. Duty Cycle" is reached. For instance, when the Max. Duty Cycle is lowered to 20% it cuts off after reaching the 20%, if set to 95% it cuts off after reaching the 95%. This happens both in the FOC and the BLDC mode.
However, I noticed that if I change 'Current No Reverse With Brake' -> 'Duty Cycle', and when applying FWD full throttle it still cuts off as before, BUT if I apply reverse, the Duty holds approx -95% and the wheels spins as expected.
I have a feeling I just missed something. Do you have any idea what it might be? Thank you!
FW: v6.02 HW: 60
This is probably an ABS overcurrent fault. Did you try to log the situation. What is the Hardware you use? ESC and Motor?
I am using FLIPSKY Mini FSESC6.7 PRO 70A, firmware v6.02. I checked the fault codes, there is none. VESC Tool 6.02, single hover board 10" large outrunner. Max motor current is set to 40A, Max ABS to 120A with Slow ABS enabled.
It is happening when the board is lifted up, hence no load. Also noticed it is happening when braking aggressively when riding the scooter.
Tested with FW 4.02 5.2 6.0 6.02, behaves the same way.
