If an external source spins a motor to a speed higher than the maximum duty cycle allows, will it start braking?
If an external source spins a motor to a speed higher than the commanded velocity, will it start braking?
If I have 0 Motor current max brake AND 0 battery current max regen current, what might still be causing energy to go back onto the bus?
Long story short, I want to completely disable the possibility of putting energy onto the bus at all. What parameters can be modified to do this?
For FOC you should always set a minimal regen current. Battery, ESC and Motor form a system and currents will always oscilate in that system.
Thank you for the response.
Could leaving the values at 0A be causing errors and regen when I don't want any?
Yes, you should have a bit of regen current to prevent errors. Load changes can generate samll regen spikes and they want to go somewhere.
