Hey Guys. I've got an 8085 6000w 170kv motor https://flipsky.net/products/brushless-dc-motor-8085-170kv-6000w-for-electric-skateboard and the maytech vesc6 200a controller https://michobby.com/collections/controller-based-on-vesc-project/products/maytech-electric-longboard-vesc-6-0-based-controller-with-dust-proof-and-water-proof-function
it runs fine on 6s, but when I try 12s it fauls and power cuts off immediately. any ideas?
Hi,guys. I think you wiil get a good result if you can solve the heat dissipation problem of MOS,but I don't suggest you use more than 50A current for a long while when you use it. hope that will assist for you, thank you.

thanks jack. would it be a heat problem if it cuts off the moment I touch the throttle? Its for a converted razor pocket bike so I will just be playing around on it, not going full throttle for long periods. thanks.
Probably either over current fault, or over voltage. Have you tried plugging a laptop into it and looking at the realtime data in VESC Tool to see what is happening?
