Throttle cutout or no response...MK6 + CA3 + Older Stand alone shunt

Throttle cutout or no response, then after a min or so it re-engages...MK6 + CA3 + Older Grin Stand alone shunt for throttle and display. Could the shunt be failing? It does get warm and i never noticed that before.
