Wheels Jerking back and forth

Does anyone have any idea whats causing this, when i press the throttle the wheels just jerk back and forth.?

When I run the motor setup wizard the wheels spin perfectly forward and backwards, subsequently, when I do the throttle setup wizard it registers perfectly and detects the throttle input. After saving all the settings and i press the throttle the wheels just jerks back and forth.

For context I'm doing a power wheels build, I've upgraded the throttle, batteries and motors along with the FlipSky 75100 Pro VESC controller. 

I have tried adjusting the battery settings, but cannot figure out how to resolve this issue...any support will be extremely helpful.
