HW4.12 Firmware trouble

Hi Forum,

i have a VESC HW4.12. I updated the FW via VESC Tool to the VESC_default.bin. After that, and waiting 10s i tried to reconnect, but the USB Device is not recognized on my pc.

I can download newest FW from GIT and newest bootloader via ST-LINK, but the VESC is still not working. No ttyACM device...

Is there anything i made wrong ?

Regards

Georg

Update: I checkout FW 2.18 and this works after upload via STLINK.

CPU runs, red LED blink, VESC Tool recognize the VESC and forced me to upload new firmware.

i choose 410 HW and the default.bin FW. After uploading, the VESC is not working again

It is strange. I tried out to combine bootloader and firmware on my own:

compile 3.4 FW as hex file, compile bootloader and combine both with srec_cat

if i configure HW60 the Board boots up, if i configure HW410 the board did not boot

Can someone please give me a hint how to programm the correct firmware ?

Hi CTSchorsch

the VESC is not USB powered so it needs the Battery connected. I'm sure I've read it in the tutorial somewhere as my older controllers only supports programming without Battery attached, so I've had to rethink about it.

Cheers
